The Town of Jay has reclosed the intersection of Alabama Street (Highway 89) and School Street to repair the water well. There is NO turn from Alabama Street (Highway 89) onto School Street. School Street will be closed from Highway 89 to the entrance to the JHS/JES parent pick up line. Access to the JHS Bus ramp, as well as the parent drop off /pick up area will be available from Spring Street. Please see the attached map to show which areas of School Street will be closed. Please be mindful that buses will still need to enter and exit JHS. Do NOT block any drives or entrances to JHS on School Street during pick up and drop off times. This closure will be in effect through Friday; August 21st. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

Good afternoon, this is for students on special assignment, also known as a SPA, to attend Jay High School. This means he/she is zoned for a different school, but has requested and been granted permission to attend Jay High. As a part of that process, Jay High School places special assignment students on a SPA contract, which stresses the importance of attendance, discipline, and academic standards. Over the next week, SPA students will be given the contract to bring home for you to sign, as well as your student. We encourage family discussions regarding the expectations of the SPA contract. We ask that you return the contract to Kevin Jordan, Assistant Principal at Jay High School by Wednesday, August 19th.
