Senior Parent Night will be September 17th at 5:00 P.M. in the JHS cafeteria. There will be information provided about several senior topics, and a chance for parents to ask questions.
As a reminder, Herff Jones will be on campus Wednesday; September 3rd during lunches to collect Junior Class Ring orders. There will be a $100 deposit required at time of order. Extra order forms are available in the JHS Office.

Good afternoon JHS Families,
For your convenience, our Department of Health nurses will be offering the Flumist vaccine here at our school on October 14th. Your student will bring home consent forms and an information packet on Monday 8/25/25. The consent form is a front and back page that must be completed and returned to the school no later than Monday September 8, 2025 for your student to receive the Flumist vaccine on campus during our vaccine clinic. Please review this packet, complete both the front and the back of the consent form, and return to the school by 9/8/25 if you wish to take advantage of this convenient opportunity. This year, our health department will be administering the nasal FluMist vaccine to every age group of students. No student will receive a vaccine without a properly completed consent form.

School picture day for all Jay High School students is Monday, August 25. Order forms will be going home Wednesday. Everyone needs to have their picture made to appear in the yearbook. No purchase required.

This is Kevin Jordan, Assistant Principal of Jay High School, with an important message for parents and families. We are conducting a lockdown drill at school today as part of our regular emergency drill process as required by state law. We conduct safety drills throughout the school year. We know that drills can cause possible concerns, but we believe it’s important for students and staff to know exactly what to do should an emergency arise. Again, all students are safe, and this is simply a required lockdown safety drill.

Santa Rosa County is implementing a new Electronic Device Policy for middle and high school grade students. Please review the new policy with your student. It is available on the county website or on an email sent from JHS. If you have any questions, please contact the JHS office.
